Job Title: IT Security Engineer / Administrator
This is a full-time, benefitted, exempt position for an IT Security Engineer / Administrator for Fairfax Radiology Centers in Fairfax, Virginia. The hours are typically Monday - Friday, but there are times when you may need to be available during off-hours/weekends.
This role is remote, but with the understanding that you must be available to drive to the corporate office in Fairfax, Virginia when needed. Remote workers need to live in the MD/VA area (DC Residents will not be considered for remote work).

As an IT Security Engineer/Administrator for Fairfax Radiology Centers (FRC), you take a proactive approach to securing our healthcare systems and networks, ensuring they are robust, scalable, and resilient against evolving cyber threats while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations and supporting the users of our systems.
What you'll do:
- Monitor and analyze security events, alerts, and incidents using CrowdStrike Falcon's threat intelligence capabilities.
- Ensure all systems are up to date with the latest security patches, reducing vulnerabilities across the IT environment.
- Develop and maintain security monitoring dashboards and reports to track the organization's security posture.
- Ensure all security operations and practices comply with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all security operations, including incident response plans, standard operating procedures, and system configurations.
- Develop and deliver training programs and guidance to other IT staff on security best practices and the use of security tools. Develop training modules for all staff on IT security
What you'll bring:
- In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices, particularly in the healthcare industry.
- Proficiency in using and managing CrowdStrike Falcon, Microsoft Entra, VMware vCenter.
- Familiarity with healthcare regulations and compliance requirements, including HIPAA.
- Strong understanding of endpoint protection, patch management, IT automation, and security principles around storage and systems redundancy.
- Experience with Azure cloud structure and security.
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field with two or more years of relevant experience.
- A comparable combination of education and experience will be considered
- CISSP, CISM, or CEH certifications are preferred
