As a Medical Collections Specialist for Fairfax Radiology Centers, you are a team player who takes pride in knowing that your work helps our patients settle their accounts while improving collection outcomes.
What you'll do:
- Establish payment plans within FRC policy when appropriate, for patients without insurance coverage.
- Discuss and obtain financial information with/from patients explaining the possibility of the patient qualifying for FRC Financial Aid
- Make every attempt to locate the patient, to obtain payment, current insurance information etc.
- Maintain daily mail received related to patient accounts and respond appropriately to all letters received.
- Maintain a daily call volume of 75-90 incoming calls
What you'll bring:
- Minimum high school diploma.
- 2 years' experience in multiple patient accounting functions.
- In-depth working knowledge of patient registration, CPT and ICD-10 coding/charging, patient and insurance billing and collection, managed care and related federal and state regulations.
- Excellent communication skills, written and oral.
- Well-organized with attention to detail and an ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Bilingual preferred - Spanish
